"The company perse is not in the business of setting up schools for providing education. This is a need based, welfare activity.

The need for a school is felt on two counts: when our executives are transferred, one of their major concern is their children’s admission to a good school. The former is a necessity while the latter falls in the area of welfare activities.

Education, everyone felt, could not be deferred because lack of education could do permanent damage to the foundation of the young children of our employees. Concern for lack of educational facilities was, therefore the maximum. That is how Alwar School was set up.

12th of April 1993 became a landmark date in Parwanoo’s history. The day saw the beginning of a full-fledged Eicher School. Keeping in mind the actual requirements of the town of Parwanoo, the school management decided to start a preschool comprising pre-nursery, nursery and KG levels (3+, 4+ and 5+agegroup) as well as 6th which would mark the beginning of a secondary school. Ms. Lata Vaidyanathan, the principal of the school writes; this plan has been executed with the child as the focus of all activities and a new curriculum, which we hope, will be very characteristic and special to Eicher School. We are sure that we shall endeavour to provide quality education to children.

Based on the Alwar and Parwanoo experience and the advantage it gave to the employees we decided to open the Faridabad school. The school was set up in 1994."
